As of 1st of June 2018, REACH comes fully into force. From this date on, unregistered chemicals can only be marketed up to a maximum of one ton per year. neoFroxx GmbH, as a middleman / small package distributor, relies on subcontractors either having carried out a REACH registration or being able to stay below the tonnage limit of one ton per year. There are exceptions that are not subject to the REACH regulation, such as chemical products used in the food industry or chemical products that are obtained by mining. These chemical products are not subject to the REACH regulation. On the other hand, there are products (SVHC) that are completely withdrawn from the market or that are / will only be available with exemption.
Since the topic is extremely complex it cannot be displayed in a few lines in accordance with the law. Of course we will provide our customers with as many products as possible within the scope of our possibilities.
Most of our chemicals are already sourced from EU producers who have registered their chemicals. For other products, we are only in a range of a few grams to a few hundred kilograms. These products will remain in the market even without registration. Specification of the registration number in the safety data sheet is not mandatory for quantities below one ton. For critical large purchase quantities of individual chemicals, we will have to do a case-by-case examination!
