denaX for molecular biology

Ready-to-use decontamination spray for the rapid removal of contaminating nucleic acids from surfaces such as workbenches, pipettes, PCR workstations and laboratory equipment. denaX colorless for molecular biology completely degrades various types of nucleic acids (genomic DNA, plasmid DNA, amplicon DNA, RNA) as well as RNases and DNases within shortest time.

denaX uncolored is suitable for decontamination of glass, ceramic, plastic, rubber, steel, and precious metal. The use of denaX uncolored both before and after nucleic acid isolation and PCR analysis is fast, easy and assures a clean working area and reliable PCR results.

Why DNA Decontamination?

Contaminating DNA and RNA molecules from aerosols can be very stable and are often the cause of cross-contamination between PCR samples. In times of highly sensitive PCR methods, even these small traces of DNA lead to PCR artifacts and inconsistant results.

However, not only contaminating nucleic acids have an impact on PCR results. Contamination with nucleic acid degrading enzymes (DNases/RNases) can also quickly lead to false and misleading results and thus endanger entire PCR test series. Decontamination of the PCR workstation is therefore a recommended routine when handling DNA and RNA samples. The residue-free removal of nucleic acids and RNases is anything but simple. The use of a suitable decontamination agent such as denaX colorless can save time, money and nerves.

Convenient DNA decontamination of surfaces*:
Spray – Wait – Wipe!

*Caution: denaX uncolored can‘t be used for the cleaning of light or non-ferrous metals. To avoid damage or discoloration, it is recommended to spot test sensitive surfaces prior to use. Do not spray on electronic devices.
